Stephen and Stefon

I watched Saturday Night Live Saturday night and enjoyed the opening skit with Newt Gingrich, Moon President. It's seeming more and more likely that we will soon have our 51st state up there. (Note the poll in right hand column. Be sure to cast your vote.)

There's also been news lately of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Planned Parenthood. I also found this concerning Ari Fleischer and Komen.

All of this made me think of previous posts about John Kyl and Planned Parenthood.

MythBusters Meet John Kyl
Not Intended to be a Factual Statement
It is Enough That It Be Truthy

Anyway, to bring all this together with the title of this post, I happened upon this about Stephen Colbert at Gawker. You can watch Stephen talking about John Kyl and his "not intended to be a factual statement" statement. It's about four minutes long and at times, Stephen has a difficult time keeping a straight face. It reminded me of Stefon on Saturday Night Live. He also often has a difficult time keeping a straight face. You can watch this clip at hulu of Stefon giving his suggestions for fun Valentine ideas. That also runs about four minutes.

It's fun to watch both Stephen and Stefon trying to keep straight faces but laughing as they speak into the camera. Once a person starts laughing, it is not easy to get back to being serious.
