Always Faithful, Never Audible

Stephen had a wag of his finger for the Marines tonight. Apparently the Marines have a new set of guidelines. They have guidelines that they follow, that's the term, isn't it? I seem to remember movies where someone is always yelling, "That's a Guideline!"

Anyway, audible farting is not allowed in Afghanistan anymore. Seems like a good idea, but how do you enforce that? It never worked for elementary school. Only seemed to make it worse when the rules were read aloud about farting. So, bad news for Marines.

But, on the other hand, some good news for the little kids. Homeland Security will no longer make kids 12 years old and younger take off their shoes when going through security. That will speed up check-in at airports. Plus no worries about shoes getting left behind.

Tonight's guest was Jeremy Ben-Ami of J Street. You can read about J Street at Wikipedia. I must admit that I found it interesting reading about the Meaning of Name of J Street. It has to do with the alphabetical grid layout of D.C. streets and the fact that many lobbyist organizations are on K Street. Of course, there's a lot more about politics and lobbying and Israel that is probably more interesting really than what the name means.

Anyway, this is another lobby for Israel. I won't pretend to know everything about the situation over there. That's Stephen's job.
