The Beauty of Being at Sea

The Bermuda Charleston Race is over. All arrived safely in Bermuda. If you weren't able to be in Bermuda for the Awards Ceremony on the terrace of the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, you can watch it online and also check the final scoring.

You can see a few photos and catch a short interview with Stephen after the race here at Bernews which I'm assuming is news about Bermuda.

All in all it was a great race, especially for those of us who could just sit at home and watch the progress online. It's a more serene pace than the usual races we typically watch and it's not the type of race where you can get a good seat and watch the action. The participants were usually alone with the sea, the weather and each other.

And you know, I've learned something today. I've learned how tiny Bermuda is and how difficult it must be to find the island out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. I've learned that Sailing isn't as easy as it looks. I've also learned that Stephen does have a pair of pink Bermuda shorts and we can only hope to see him wearing them the next time we see him on The Colbert Report. This was such a big news story and I am surprised that it was not reported in the all of the MSM when it happened.
